Description

They are dark green, brown, beige, and greenish-yellow with claw-tipped front fins and the head of a grizzly bear or a Eurasian brownish conduct.

An exceptionally violent and fell fauna, the ocean behave took an immediate dislike to Squidward and attacked him repeatedly throughout the episode. The brute is attracted when Squidward, in mockery of SpongeBob and Patrick'south conventionalities in its being, performs everything that supposedly provoke the animal to violence leading the terrified duo to draw a dirt circle to deter the sea conduct, apparently the just successful method of doing so. Subsequently teasing them when the sea bear does not appear, the brute shows itself and readjusts Squidward's sombrero to the position that serves to enrage it. The sea bear then violently mauls him and repeats this 5 times later for differing reasons: running, limping, crawling, and elementary dislike for the cephalopod (twice).

Conceding, Squidward jumps in SpongeBob and Patrick's circumvolve to escape the bear. The animate being prepares for another set on when it notices the dirt circle. The circle really proves constructive when the sea bear, despite being easily capable of bypassing this incredulous defence force, seems to be put off by it and grudgingly leaves after threatening Squidward with hostile gestures likely intending to assail him over again when the chance arises.

Alluring a Ocean Bear

There is a wide range of things that tin can attract a Sea Conduct and why.

  • Playing the clarinet badly (the audio may arouse or upset them).
  • Waving your flashlight back and forth really fast (Patrick says flashlights are Sea Bears' natural casualty, though the more logical caption could be due to them favoring bioluminescent animals as casualty and thus mistaking a flashlight for i).
  • Eating or belongings cubed cheese; sliced cheese is safe (Ocean Bears may meet the cubed cheese as Bon appetite, though they would lose the interest in the cheese if information technology should be sliced).
  • Stomping effectually (SpongeBob said that they take information technology as a challenge).
  • Wearing a hoop skirt (it might disgust them).
  • Wearing clown shoes (ridicule that makes the Sea Bear feel disgusted).
  • Wearing a sombrero in a goofy fashion (such equally upside downwards or tilted, but in either way would probable exist offensive to them).
  • Screeching similar a chimpanzee (may mimic the sound of a dying animal or taunting the sea conduct, merely in either fashion, it is an specially large attractor with how SpongeBob and Patrick emphasize "never").
  • Running from a Sea Behave (might show cowardliness that would provoke them to attack you again if they mauled y'all in one case).
  • Limping from a Sea Carry (might also prove cowardliness that is worse than running).
  • Crawling away from a Ocean Bear (might as well show cowardliness that provokes them to brutally maul you more than than either when running or limping).
  • Simple dislike for the victim (likely only if y'all continue to exercise stuff that attracts them like Squidward did).
  • Possibly drawing an oval or circle in the clay (possible attractor; the Ocean Bear either attacked out of dislike again, or was attracted by Squidward trying to describe a circle just for information technology to exist an oval, which does not work).

Behavior

Ocean Bears are very treacherous, ambitious, and merciless animals that won't hesitate to maul or kill their prey, be information technology due to merely for hunting or the said prey's provocative behavior such as stomping or disobeying other warnings above. At get-go, it attacked Squidward for his provocative behavior out of ridiculing its kind'southward existence by disobeying SpongeBob and Patrick's warnings, but information technology eventually mauled him several times for attempting to flee. However, they're not evil nor entirely hostile animals, given that one of them antagonized Squidward due to the latter ignoring SpongeBob and Patrick's warnings; it tin can be deduced that Sea Bears are actually territorial animals that are cautious with anyone who dares to enter their territory and won't antagonize nor kill them unless they displayed provocative behavior.

In spite of their ambitious behavior, it is implied that the Bounding main Bears won't intrude another animal's territory just to chase the instigator of the attack and would begrudgingly have him/her spared, which explains why they won't pass the Anti-Sea Bear circle.

In the Indonesian dub, SpongeBob said that Sea Bears would haunt campers, including even those whom merely camped nearly their home, implying that sea bears are attracted by campers who wander off to fishes' population, and the rule non to provoke them also apply equally much as in their territory.

Prevention

The simply known matter that can forestall a body of water bear attack is an Anti-Ocean Bear circumvolve (only a circle, not an oval, it has to be a circumvolve). All the experts say it's the only thing that tin can end a bounding main bear. Information technology is besides revealed that the ocean bears are natural enemies with the Sea Rhinoceros (which are far more dangerous and can be attracted by the sound of a sea bear attack). The bounding main bears can also existence prevented with tummy tickles and jellyfish jelly, and they seem to love them.

Sounds

Though it is credited that Dee Bradley Baker voiced the body of water comport, boosted sounds were from archival recordings from Thurl Ravenscroft (original vocalisation of Tony the Tiger), James MacDonald (vocalization of Mickey Mouse from 1947 to 1977), Clarence Nash (original voice of Donald Duck), and Candy Candido (miscellaneous voices in Disney movies and attractions). The sounds of the sea bears' attacks attracts sea rhino.
